• AVIC SAC Commercial Aircraft Company Limited (hereinafter referred to as “SACC”), is a major manufacturer of commercial airplane airframe structures in China. SACC is mainly engaged in the design, testing, production, sales and after-market service of commercial airplane parts and components.

    Since the first subcontracting contract was signed in 1985, it has had over 30 years of involvement in subcontracted production and has collaborated with 14 major airplane manufacturers and airlines around the world. SACC has developed long-term, stable collaborative relationships with known airplane manufactures such as Boeing, Airbus, Bombardier, COMAC, and more. Collaborations have expanded from merely product manufacturing to product design, testing, airworthiness certification, after-market service and more.

    SACC has taken its lead after first settling in Shenyang National University of Science and Technology in the Hunnan District, Shenyang. Currently, SACC has established a professional manufacturing base of civil airplane structures, components and detailed parts, which has a construction area of 137,000 square meters and, together with overall planning, is a complete facility with distinct characteristics.

    Products The manufactured products include components of Boeing and Airbus serial airplanes, Bombardier Q serial, C serial airplanes and other world famous airplanes, as well as the components and wire harness of China ARJ21, and C919 airplane structure components.

    SACC is also in cooperation with Bombardier in relation to large airplane components of the C Series. This is the first program where a Chinese aviation manufacturer is placed on board for the entire development process of a new commercial airplane—from the airplane design, certification, to production and after-market service.

    Design Capabilities SACC has a research and development team of more than 200 people, among which, 60% have overseas working experience through participation in multiple projects such as the joint design of Canada’s Bombardier C Series program, COMAC C919 program, the Netherlands’ Fokker A350 program, and domestic design work of the new turboprop regional airplane program.

    SACC’s research and development design system has obtained AS9100 Revision C certification, and possesses the qualification of independently undertaking the research and development design task of civil airplane airframe structures.

    Manufacturing Capabilities With years of sustained and rapid development, SACC has set up and mastered key technologies related to the assembly and manufacturing of large commercial airplane components such as the integrated manufacturing of fuselage structures, automatic drilling and riveting, digital assembly, and more. SACC has built modern detailed part production lines for the processing of aluminum sheet metal, other special processes, composite material, metal bonding, test detection and more. SACC has developed specialized capabilities in the manufacturing of airplane doors, pylons, empennage and wire harnesses, and has gradually formed its brand on a global scale.
